The Scribbled Angelfish is one of the more uncommon angelfish and makes a beautiful addition to any marine aquarium. They require lots of rock which they use as food source (algae) and as a hiding place. It is not recommend to add them to a reef aquarium as they will try and eat the coral and clams!

This slime provides protection against parasites and infections and helps the Scribbled Angelfish to move through the water faster. Some fish species also release toxins in their slime which ward off enemy attacks. Other fish species use their slime to feed their young.
